Privacy Policy

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how NX Install Helper for Switch ("the app") handles information. The app sends files that you choose from your Android device to an installer running on your own Nintendo Switch, over a USB cable or your local network. Your files are transferred directly from your phone to your console and are never uploaded to us or to any server we control.

Your files

• The app only reads the files and folders you select, using Android's file picker.
• Over USB, file data is sent only to the connected console.
• Over Wi‑Fi, the app runs a temporary server on your local network while a transfer is in progress. It serves only the files you selected, and stops when the transfer ends.
• The list of selected files is stored on your device so it is still there next time you open the app. You can clear it at any time.

Information collected by third-party services

If you have not purchased Pro, the app displays ads through Google AdMob. To do this, AdMob and its partners may automatically collect and process information such as:

• Advertising ID and device identifiers
• IP address and approximate location
• Device and app information (model, OS version, app version)
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

Where required by law (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), the app asks for your consent through Google's User Messaging Platform before any ads are requested. You can change your choice at any time under More → Privacy settings in the app.

This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy and Google's EU User Consent Policy. We do not control how Google or its ad partners use this data beyond serving ads within the app.

Purchases

The optional Pro upgrade is sold through Google Play Billing. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play; the app never sees your payment details. The app only receives whether Pro has been purchased, so it can remove ads and restore your purchase on a new device.

Permissions

The app requests the following device permissions:

• USB access — to communicate with your Switch when it is connected by cable. Android asks for your approval the first time.
• Internet, network state and local network — to transfer files over your local network, and to load ads and handle purchases.
• Notifications — to show transfer progress and a Stop button while a transfer runs. This is optional.
• Foreground service and wake lock — to keep a transfer running while the screen is off or you use other apps.

None of these permissions are used to send the contents of your files anywhere other than your own console.

Data we do not collect

We do not operate our own servers for this app, and we do not collect, store, or transmit the files you transfer, their contents, or your personal identity. The app has no accounts and no analytics of its own.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
